In AP Art and Advanced Studio Art, students will develop, clarify, and apply their philosophies of art and art making through independent exploration.  Initiative, serious involvement, and commitment are expectations of the Advanced Studio Art student.  A portfolio demonstrating high-quality artwork, a broad base of knowledge, and in-depth understanding of art forms will be developed and refined in this course.  Students will facilitate the planning and installation of an exhibit of artwork, participate in regular critique sessions and make application to official calls to entries.  Prerequisites include; Introduction to Art, Art I, Drawing and/or Painting and instructor approval.
